Walk in the Wild
You can take panoramic photographs from the Mountain Station, with views of snow-capped mountains, waterways, and the town and harbors below. Head out to hike the well-marked trail system suitable for every level of ability, including a trail that is handicap-accessible. New interpretive markers have been placed along the loop trail for self-guided walks.
Along the loop you’ll also find Culturally Modified Trees trees with Native totemic carvings depicting the Sentry: the one who watches for the approach of visitors and delivers the message to the caretaker; The Caretaker: representative of the Eagle moiety, Killerwhale clan who informs the Raven clan that they have visitors; and the Raven: representing the Raven clan and states that it is this clan who has the right to negotiate trades.
